Our dog Maisy had a Sarcoma in her back removed. That's a type of cancer for those lucky enough to have never heard of it. Unfortunately, it was an ambitious, miserable little thing so some microscopic disease remained after the surgery. The best thing for Maisy was radiation treatment—a very specific, intense, focused type of radiation. It was developed at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, one of the best veterinary schools/hospitals in the world. We packed up the car and that's exactly where we went. It was a month of bittersweet adventure. The Doctors, Techs, Students, and Support Staff were wonderful. Maisy could not have been in better hands. Here are some photos from the trip.
